The Cathedral of Our Lady, St. Mary Star of the Sea and St. Michael are part of the East Duluth Catholic Faith Formation (EDCFF) program for students Grades K-12 and Adults. Member parishes also include St. John, St. Joseph-Gnesen, and St. Benedict.
Adult formation classes are offered to anybody who is a high school senior or older. The classes are held Wednesday nights during both the elementary and middle/high school faith formation sessions. The classes focus on Catholic teaching, beginning with the articles of the creed, and continuing onto the seven sacraments and principles of Christian morality.
There are also monthly social and catechetical events for adults 21 and over titled "Hard Liquor | Hard Questions." As the name suggests, the event begins with a social with cocktails and appetizers followed by a presentation on a difficult question in Catholic theology. Following the presentation, there is an opportunity for an open Q&A.
